Our Philosophy

At Vickery Pediatrics, we treat each child as if they were our own. Our practice is dedicated to providing your family with comprehensive, quality care by assuring that each patient receives individual, personal attention and care tailored to their unique needs. We accomplish this standard through close collaboration between our staff, our patients and their families. Our physicians, nurses and other support staff are recognized for compassion, experience, knowledge and a commitment to excellence.

Our Mission at Vickery Pediatrics is “Healthcare with a Heart”. We are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and their families in our community. We strive to build long-term, partnering relationships built on trust and mutual respect; We believe in prevention of disease and promotion of healthy life-styles for all children; We strive to be an efficient and cost-effective practice in meeting the needs of children during times of health as well as in times of illness; We practice medicine as a team and value the contributions of all of our staff in providing excellent medical care and service; We believe in the ethical practice of medicine, provide leadership throughout the community and provide service of those in our community in need.

Our Staff

Although Vickery Pediatrics was established in 2005, our physicians have been in practice for over 20 years. Our dedicated and friendly physicians are graduates of American Universities and Medical schools as well as Pediatric Residency Training Programs. They are board certified in Pediatrics. We boast some of the best nursing staff (RN and MAs) in the Southeast. They bring a vast array of pediatric experience from many different areas.

Our Services

We provide complete healthcare from birth to age 21. In addition to providing annual/sports physicals, we handle all types of acute illnesses and many in-office procedures.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
8:00 am – 4:00 pm (Summer) or 5:00pm (Winter)
(Closed for lunch 12:30 – 1:30 pm)

After Hour Care

Although the office may be closed, there is always someone available 24/7 to cover our patients’ urgent needs. Please call us at 678-990-2501 and you will be given instructions on how to proceed.

We use Pediatric Triage Nurse services through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (CHOA). On rare occasions (like holidays), there may be a delay in speaking to the nurse. If you feel that your wait time has been excessive, please call back. The nurse will offer medical information based on protocols which exist for almost every situation. If the nurse feels that it is an emergency or warrants the doctor’s attention, she will refer you to the on-call doctor who will call you back. Please turn off your answering machine and anti-caller ID block. You should expect a call back within 30 minutes. If you are concerned that you have not been called back quickly enough, please try calling us again. Sometimes we have been given the wrong callback number or there may be a malfunction with our cell phones.

If your child should require after hours care, we refer patients to be seen at CHOA urgent care centers – the nearest urgent care centers are located at The Collection at Forsyth and Northpoint. The 2 children’s hospitals in the area include Scottish Rite and Egleston. http://www.choa.org/urgentcareforsyth

Appointments

All patient visits are by appointment only. We ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to appointment time, if you are a new patient, to allow for insurance verification or 10 minutes prior to appointment time, if you are an established patient, to allow for any time needed to update your insurance information in our system.

We try to keep the office running smoothly but emergencies, late arrivals, and unscheduled appointments may delay our normal schedule. Please realize that we always try to give each patient the necessary time, so your understanding of unexpected delays is appreciated.

New Patients:

Please call our office at 678-990-2501 to verify that we accept your insurance. You will then be able to select an appointment time that meets your needs. You may pre-register through the patient portal or download the new patient information forms. Once these forms are completed – they can be emailed to Admin@vickerypeds.com or faxed to 678-990-2505 before your appointment date.

Established Patients:

For sick appointments – call 678-990-2501 to schedule appointment. Please do not email for a sick appointment as it may inappropriately delay care for your child.

For well appointments – (including school/camp/sport physicals or consultations) – These visits are scheduled in advance. Since our schedule allows us to book appointments several months in advance, you may book an appointment in advance as you leave the office. If not, please call us today at 678-990-2501 or submit an appointment request using the Patient Portal. We will try to remind you by phone approximately 24 hrs in advance. If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us to cancel as soon as possible.
